October is National Book Month

The month-long celebration focuses on the importance of books, reading and literature. Stop by the library, pick up a good book. While you’re here get free bookmarks and pencils. The library encourages families to reserve a time to read together as a group. Reading aloud and reading to younger children improves knowledge, vocabulary and promotes family bonding.

National Bullying Prevention Month

October is National Bullying Prevention month. PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center started this campaign in 2006.
