Library Re-opening Guidelines

Libraries are following strict guidelines in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Daily operation includes spacing individual users and limiting the number of people present in the building. The library will implement these phases in accordance with recommendations made by the Governor, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Library Board of Commissioners. The plan is subject to change with statewide directives from the Governor’s Office.

Phase 2

The library is open for business at 50% occupancy. Meeting rooms are available with social distancing practices in place. Masks are required.

Patrons are asked to return books in the book drop. (All returned materials will be quarantined for a period of 3 days before being placed back into circulation.)

Per government mandate, masks must be in place with patrons 8 years old and older. (with exceptions)
Please be aware of social distancing. Keep extra space between yourself and others in the line. When possible, keep 6 feet between you and others.
Please make use of our hand sanitizer station and wash your hands frequently.  Help us stop the spread of COVID-19.

We offer a special “drive-up” service for elderly, high-risk, or physically challenged patrons daily.

We will continue to be “fine free” for the rest of 2020.

Library staff is required to wear masks and gloves while working with the public. Thanks for your patience during this time.

We look forward to seeing you at your library!
