Library Update

Libraries are following strict guidelines in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Daily operation includes spacing individual users and limiting the number of people present in the building. The library will implement these phases in accordance with recommendations made by the Governor, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Library Board of Commissioners. The plan is subject to change with statewide directives from the Governor’s Office.

Phase 2

The library is open for business with limited access; we are open at 50% occupancy. Meeting rooms will not be available until further notice.

Patrons are asked to return books in the book drop. (All returned materials will be quarantined for a period of 3 days before being placed back into circulation.)

Please be aware of social distancing. Keep extra space between yourself and others in line. When possible, keep 6 feet between you and others. Please make use of our hand sanitizer station and wash your hands frequently. Help us stop the spread of COVID-19.

We will offer special “drive-up” service for elderly, high-risk or physically challenged patrons Wednesday-Saturday from 11:00 – 12:00 noon.

Free copying and faxing services are available. For convenience sake, the library will make free black and white copies (limit 10 pages) and free faxes (limit 5 pages) until we open fully.

We will continue to be “fine free” until we have resumed a normal routine.

Staff will be required to wear masks and gloves while working with the public. Thanks for your patience during this time.
