Self Defense for Women

“No experience required to participate. You will learn to defend the most common attacks from standing and on the ground. The techniques taught do not rely on attributes such as size, strength and speed, but instead utilize leverage, strategy, technique and timing against a bigger opponent”.

Cookbook Club

The theme for July is Cuban cuisine. Please bring a dish to this potluck gathering. Share the recipe along with any tweaking done in the process of preparing the dish. The library has a large collection of cookbooks but recipes can also come from home collections

Express Yourself

Enjoy writing poetry, telling jokes or singing? Come out and perform original compositions, karaoke, stand-up, etc. This is a free event that will get our tweens and teens interacting with each other. There will be refreshments available.
